  1. Use a journaling block. This is a piece cardstock that you have places our your page to do your journaling. You can mat it if you like.
  2. Use velum. Velum is a fun way to present your journaling because you can then still see the page underneath your writing. I have often done a pattern using different colors of cardstock and then places journaling on velum in order to let the colors show through.
  3. Use a tag. Tags make great journal keepers. Use tag patterns listed on the site to house your words.
  4. Journal under a picture. Make a hinge with some cardstock or other nifty embellishment and create a flap. Then you can journal your thought underneath the flap in order to save room for more photos.
  5. Put your journaling tags or papers in an envelope. There are several envelope ideas to choose from. If you would like your words to show through you can even use velum for this as well.
  6. You can use a paper piecing to place your journaling on. I have used the simple patterns such as the diaper, baby bootie, inner tube of the swimmer, Easter egg etc. to write my thoughts on.
