Sort your cardstock by colors. I sort mine like a rainbow. I put the blacks and decorative papers at the end. You can then store your organized papers in small divided shelves, crates, bins or file draws. This makes for easy access when scrap booking.
Keep your tools in portable stackable plastic drawers on your work table. Then your most used tools will be right at your finder tips yet out of the way. The drawers I have are clear so I can see what is in each draw. You can label them if you wish.
Binders are great for patterns, stickers and printables. You can put them in plastic sleeves to protect them.
Since scrap booking styles change you might want to get rid of old inventory. I like to sort mine out about once a year to make new for new ideas and product. I have things that I bought and used part of. I also have things that I thought I would use but haven't. I donate these to my children's craft box. You could also give them to a local school or charity or even sell them.
I sort my pictures into photo albums that you can easily flip through. This way I can still enjoy the pictures even when they haven't been put into a scrapbook. I only scrapbook my very favorite pictures and keep the rest in chronological order. I keep my digital pictures organized in a disc case in chronological order as well. I can then access them easily as well.
